Fuel Surcharge
Fuel is one of the highest contributors to the pricing of our delivery services. We invest heavily in our fleet and driver behaviour to minimise our consumption, and purchase our fuel weekly in bulk from the wholesale markets to achieve the best price.
In September 2018 we re-based our fuel surcharge to 1.000%, and publish each month in advance the revised fuel surcharge to reflect the movement in our consumption and wholesale costs.
The wholesale spot prices can be extremely volatile - especially post Covid and the invasion of Ukraine. To avoid wild swings and to allow you to plan your future costs; our surcharge is calculated in a way that will defer and even out the change in costs over a 3-5 month period.
